BroMenn Healthcare Pediatrics

We Treat Our Patients Like Children

The pediatrics unit at BroMenn Regional Medical Center is for children who need specialized care and extra-special attention. And we're here for parents, too. We call it Family-Centered Care. Our team of exceptionally skilled and extraordinarily devoted caregivers are easy to talk to and good at helping kids and their families adjust to unfamiliar routines and surroundings.

Although the pediatric unit is on the fourth floor, our staff cares for junior patients throughout the hospital. We help out in the emergency department, lab and X-ray departments, same-day surgery and all the other places where children are cared for.

Just for Kids

Tis the Seaon to Color!

Fun, games and holiday coloring pages at BroMenn Kids!

Experts tell us that art is therapeutic. Our junior patients tell us that the murals and decorations in our pediatric rooms are cool. Kids enter imaginary worlds that include a jungle, tree house, circus, fairy tales and a toy store. Other room themes are the beach, crayons, sports, a farm and fish. Each room also has a telephone and a TV/VCR. A video game system and games are available on request.

Hospital Visits

A child's hospital stay can be stressful for everyone in the family. We provide recliners or cots for sleeping, and encourage parents to be with their child as much as possible. A designated adult friend or relative can stay as well, and brothers and sisters can stay for short visits. All visitors, however, must be free of fever and/or other symptoms. A child's favorite toys, blankets or other precious items that represent security and familiar surroundings may be brought to the hospital.
