BroMenn Healthcare Communities
The BroMenn Healthcare System serves an eight-county area in central Illinois. The region is rich with commerce, industry and agriculture, where people are friendly and traditional Midwest hospitality is the norm. While the area is growing at a rapid annual rate, crime is low and school districts are progressive.
McLean County is, geographically, the largest county in Illinois. Its population center is the twin cities of Bloomington and Normal, with over 110,000 people calling those communities home. The BroMenn Healthcare System is headquartered in Bloomington-Normal, where BroMenn Regional Medical Center, four BroMenn Medical Group practices and various other BroMenn entities are located.
Bloomington-Normal is also home to Illinois State University and Illinois Wesleyan University, and is corporate headquarters for State Farm Insurance, the Eureka vacuum company and COUNTRY Insurance & Financial Services. Mitsubishi Motor Manufacturing also has an automobile assembly plant in the twin cities. The Central Illinois Regional Airport in Bloomington is one of the fastest growing airports in the state and recently opened a new, larger terminal. The area surrounding Bloomington-Normal is blessed with some of the richest soil in the world. Corn and soybeans are the most common crops. Other communities in McLean County include LeRoy, Heyworth, Chenoa, Gridley and Lexington.
