Illinois Heart and Lung associates Welcomes New Pulmonologist

August 6, 2007 - Anthony J. Zachria, D.O., of Houston, TX, and formerly of Morton, IL, recently joined the medical staff at Illinois Heart & Lung Associates  (IHLA) in Normal and Pontiac.

A specialist in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine, Dr. Zachria recently completed a Fellowship program at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, where he also performed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center – TCOM in Fort Worth, TX.

Dr. Zachria has broad clinical experience in medical, cardiovascular and surgical intensive care consult, as well as sleep medicine, pulmonary rehabilitation and long-term acute care.

He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Diseases, and board eligible in Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Zachria has been published in his field and has received several awards and honors, including the CHEST Foundation’s Young Investigator Award.
