New Physician At HealthPoint Ugent Care & Occupational Medicine

August 10, 2007 - Dr. Kenneth W. Schmidt, M.D., of Lincoln, Illinois, recently joined the medical staff at HealthPoint Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine, located on the corner of Towanda and College Avenues in Normal.

Dr. Schmidt comes to HealthPoint as an experienced Family Physician with over 17 years of private practice in Mt. Pulaski, Illinois. There he cared for people of all ages and had a special interest in treating patients with urgent and chronic conditions. He previously worked in urgent care at St. Mary’s Hospital and at Decatur Memorial Hospital, both in Decatur, Illinois.

Dr. Schmidt received his medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield. He performed his family practice residency in the SIU Decatur Family Practice Residency Program in Decatur. He is board certified in Family Practice Medicine, and is a member of the Illinois State Medical Society and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

HealthPoint Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine provides walk-in care and is open Monday-Friday from 7 a.m.-9 p.m., and weekends from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. No appointments are necessary.
