HealthPoint Occ Health Receives Certification
October 3, 2007 - The National Association of Occupational Health Professionals (NAOHP) has awarded BroMenn's HealthPoint Occupational Health Program a three-year Quality Certification Award under its Occupational Health Site Certification Program. HealthPoint is the first clinic in Illinois to receive the certification.
NAOHP certification award acknowledges that HealthPoint offers an exceptionally high level of occupational health-related services to employers in the McLean County and surrounding area.
HealthPoint was recognized by the NAOHP for "Honorable Achievement" following an onsite survey in September. "Honorable Achievement" is 90-92 percent compliant with national standards.
Programs and clinics undergoing site certification are evaluated in comparison to NAOHP standards in six categories: administration and organization; operational framework; staffing resources; clinical services; quality management; and sales and marketing.
"I want to congratulate Practice Manager Denise James, Medical Director Dr. Dru Hauter, and the HealthPoint staff for this great achievement," said NAOHP Site Surveyor Donna Lee Gardner, a nurse and consultant who has been instrumental in developing the program standards. "They are to be commended for wanting to establish a strong infrastructure as they further develop their services for employers."
