BroMenn System to Hold Annual Meeting
The Annual Meeting of the BroMenn Healthcare System, celebrating "The Spirit of BroMenn," will be held Monday, May 19 at Calvary United Methodist Church, 1700 N. Towanda Avenue, Normal.
The event will feature two concurrent pre-meeting workshops, beginning at 3:30 p.m. "Your Thriving Spirit: Embracing the Future with Energy and Passion" is the title of one of these workshops. Led by Certified Empowerment Coach Debbie Delgado, this workshop will focus on dealing with - and thriving on - change.
The other pre-meeting workshop will be led by Charles Williams II, director of Community, Faith and Governmental Partnerships at the University of Illinois at Chicago's Neighborhoods Initiative. Entitled "Spirit of Health & Wholeness: Creating Effective Health Ministries," it will be targeted to churches or any organizations interested in creating a wellness initiative.
The Annual Meeting itself begins at 5:00 p.m., featuring Spirit Stories from BroMenn employees, patients and friends; the Delegate Church Health Awards; a presentation by BroMenn CEO Roger Hunt; and the keynote speech, "Biting Off More than You Can Chew: Life in the Sandwich Generation," by noted guest speaker Kathleen Passanisi. Passanisi founded NEW PERSPECTIVES, which addresses issues in wellness, quality living, stress management, and the link that exists between humor and health. She is the author of It's Your Life - Choose Well and a co-author of Humor Me: America's Funniest Humorists on the Power of Laughter.
Light refreshments will be served. While the event is aimed primarily at BroMenn personnel and its Delegate Churches, the general public and faith community are welcome to attend, free of charge. Those interested in attending may call the BroMenn Call Center (toll free) at 1-877-270-4YOU to reserve a seat.
