BroMenn Names Family Residency Director

Dr. Timothy Buffey

Timothy J. Buffey, D.O. has joined BroMenn Healthcare's Graduate Medical Education Program as the Program Director for Family Medicine.

Dr. Buffey comes to BroMenn with more than 11 years of experience in family medicine, most recently at Kings Daughter Medical Center, Flatwoods Family Care Center in Flatwoods, KY.  Prior to his work there, Buffey practiced in family health clinics in Michigan and Ohio where he also engaged in educational rotations for students, interns and residents and was Clinical Adjunct Faculty for Grand Valley State University.

He received his medical degree from Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downer's Grove, IL.  He completed his family practice residency at Mercy General Health Partners in Muskegon, MI where he was Chief Resident.  He has been certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians since November 2001.

Buffey will oversee the family practice residency program, now in its fifth year.  The program provides a well-rounded educational experience to post-doctoral trainees and operates in conjunction with Midwestern University-Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine.  He will be practicing at BroMenn's Family Health Clinic located in the Physician Office Building on the BroMenn Regional Medical Center campus.
